 تمہید – دھوبی اور اس کا گدھا

ایک زمانے کی بات ہے، ایک چھوٹے سے گاؤں میں ایک محنتی دھوبی رہتا تھا۔ اُس کا نام بشیر تھا۔ بشیر کے پاس ایک گدھا تھا، جو اُس کا سب سے قیمتی ساتھی تھا۔ دھوبی کا گدھا روزانہ صبح سویرے کپڑوں سے بھری بڑی ٹوکری اپنی کمر پر لاد کر ندی تک جاتا، جہاں بشیر کپڑے دھوتا تھا۔ دھوبی کا گدھا ہر دن بڑی محنت سے اپنا کام انجام دیتا، مگر کبھی کبھی وہ تھک جاتا تو تھوڑا سا رک کر سستانے لگتا۔

محنت اور تھکاوٹ

ایک دن دھوپ بہت تیز تھی۔ بشیر نے اپنے گدھے پر کپڑوں کا بوجھ رکھا اور ندی کی طرف روانہ ہوا۔ راستہ لمبا اور مشکل تھا۔ دھوبی کا گدھا آہستہ آہستہ قدم بڑھاتا رہا، مگر جب بوجھ زیادہ محسوس ہوا تو وہ ایک درخت کے نیچے رک گیا۔
گدھے نے سوچا، “کاش میں کسی اور کی طرح آزاد ہوتا۔ یہ بوجھ، یہ گرمی اور یہ تھکن، سب کچھ بہت مشکل ہے۔”
دھوبی نے پیار سے کہا، “میرے دوست، تھوڑا صبر کر لو۔ کام کے بعد آرام بھی ملے گا۔ محنت ہمیشہ کامیابی کی کنجی ہوتی ہے۔”

چالاک گدھے کی چال

اگلے دن دھوبی کا گدھا ایک نئی ترکیب سوچنے لگا۔ ندی کے قریب ایک پتھریلا راستہ آتا تھا، جہاں گدھا اکثر اپنا بوجھ کم کرنے کے لیے لڑکھڑانے کی اداکاری کرتا۔ ایک دن اُس نے جان بوجھ کر زمین پر گرنے کا ڈھونگ رچایا تاکہ بوجھ ہلکا ہو جائے۔
بشیر گھبرا گیا، “ارے کیا ہوا میرے گدھے؟” مگر جب اُس نے غور کیا تو دیکھا کہ گدھا تو آرام سے آنکھیں موندے بیٹھا ہے۔ بشیر سمجھ گیا کہ یہ تو چالاکی ہے۔
اس دن اُس نے فیصلہ کیا کہ اب دھوبی کے گدھے کو ایک سبق سکھانا ہوگا۔

سبق دینے کا دن

اگلے دن بشیر نے کپڑوں کی بجائے گدھے کی پیٹھ پر نمک کی بوریاں رکھ دیں۔ دھوبی اور گدھا ندی کی طرف چل پڑے۔ راستے میں حسبِ معمول گدھے نے اپنی چالاکی دہرائی اور ندی میں گرنے کا بہانہ کیا۔
مگر جیسے ہی وہ گرا، بوریاں پانی میں بھیگ گئیں اور نمک گھلنے لگا۔ بوجھ ہلکا ہوتے ہی گدھا خوشی سے کھڑا ہوگیا۔ اُس نے سوچا، “کتنا مزہ آیا! بوجھ ہلکا ہو گیا۔ اگلی بار بھی یہی کرونگا!”
بشیر خاموش رہا، مگر اندر ہی اندر مسکرا رہا تھا۔

چال کا الٹا نتیجہ

دوسرے دن بشیر نے گدھے کی پیٹھ پر کپڑوں کے بجائے روئی کے تھیلے رکھ دیے۔ جب ندی پر پہنچے، تو گدھے نے پھر وہی حرکت کی اور ندی میں گر گیا۔
مگر اس بار جیسے ہی پانی روئی میں بھرا، بوجھ پہلے سے دگنا ہو گیا۔ دھوبی کا گدھا ہانپنے لگا، اُس کی ٹانگیں کانپنے لگیں۔
بشیر نے کہا، “دیکھا میرے دوست! چالاکی ہمیشہ نقصان دیتی ہے۔ آج اگر تم نے ایمانداری سے کام کیا ہوتا تو اتنی تکلیف نہ اٹھانی پڑتی۔”

نصیحت – سچائی اور محنت کی برکت

گدھے کو اپنی غلطی کا احساس ہوگیا۔ اُس نے دھوبی سے معافی مانگی اور وعدہ کیا کہ اب کبھی دھوکہ نہیں دے گا۔
دھوبی کا گدھا اگلے دن سے پھر محنتی بن گیا۔ اب وہ خوشی خوشی کپڑوں کا بوجھ اٹھاتا، ندی تک جاتا اور دھوبی کے کام میں مدد کرتا۔
بشیر بھی اُس سے پیار کرنے لگا۔ اس کے بعد دونوں ہمیشہ خوش رہے۔ گاؤں کے لوگ جب بھی انہیں دیکھتے تو کہتے، “یہ ہے اصل دوستی اور ایمانداری کی مثال!”

سبقِ زندگی

اس کہانی سے بچوں کو یہ سیکھنے کو ملتا ہے کہ چالاکی اور دھوکہ آخرکار نقصان دیتے ہیں، جبکہ سچائی اور محنت انسان کو عزت اور کامیابی دلاتی ہے۔
دھوبی کا گدھا ہمیں یہ سبق دیتا ہے کہ اگر ہم دیانت داری سے اپنا کام کریں، تو زندگی میں کبھی ناکامی نہیں ملتی۔

Introduction – The washerman’s donkey and his donkey

Once upon a time, there lived a hard-working washerman in a small village. His name was Bashir. Bashir had a donkey, which was his most valuable companion. The washerman’s donkey would carry a big basket full of clothes on his back every morning to the river, where Bashir washed the clothes. A washerman’s donkey Every day he would do his work with great effort, but sometimes he would stop and slow down when he got tired.

Labor and fatigue

Clever ass trick

The next day A washerman’s donkey ( دھوبی کا گدھا). He started thinking of a new recipe. There was a stony path near the river, where the donkey often pretended to stagger to lighten his load. One day he deliberately pretended to fall on the ground to lighten the load.
Bashir panicked, “Hey, what happened to my donkey?” But when he thought about it, he saw that the donkey was sitting comfortably with his eyes closed. Bashir understood that it was a trick.
That day he decided that now Dhobi’s donkeys ( دھوبی کا گدھا) A lesson has to be taught.

Lesson day

The next day Bashir put sacks of salt on the donkey’s back instead of clothes. The washerman and the donkey walked towards the river. On the way, as usual, the donkey repeated his trick and pretended to fall into the river.
But as soon as it fell, the sacks got soaked in water and the salt started to dissolve. The donkey happily stood up as the burden was lightened. He thought, “What fun! The burden is lightened. I’ll do the same next time!”
Bashir remained silent, but inside he was smiling.

Reverse the trick

The next day, Bashir put cotton bags on the donkey’s back instead of clothes. On reaching the river, the donkey repeated the same movement and fell into the river.
But this time, as soon as the water filled the cotton, the load doubled. A washerman’s donkey (دھوبی کا گدھا) He gasped, his legs shaking.
Bashir said, “See, my friend! Cunning always hurts. If you had acted honestly today, you would not have had to suffer so much.”

Advice – Blessings of truth and hard work

The donkey realized his mistake. He apologized to Dhobi and promised never to cheat again.
A washerman’s donkey ( دھوبی کا گدھا) From the next day he became a hard worker again. Now he would gladly carry the load of clothes, go to the river and help the washerman.
Bashir also fell in love with her. After that, both lived happily ever after. Whenever the villagers saw him, they would say, “This is an example of true friendship and honesty!”
